What was the highlight of Hotel S'arena Beach
Nice hotel, very clean but beware of weddings!
Nice open landscaped resort with well kept lawns. Spotlessly clean every where. Rooms cleaned daily, good size room like a small bungalow with patio doors onto tiled terrace and looking onto lawns, these were the superior rooms apparently. Nice large bathroom with glass door shower cubicle. Pool nice and open flat terrace with enough sun beds, there was a life guard on duty every day. Café & bar open each day nice food but very few snacks more meals which wasn’t so good. Breakfast had a long buffet bar, limited cooked offer every day : Bacon & scrambled eggs only. If you wanted a fried egg, or omelet with different additions ie cheese that was going to cost you! 2e for a fried egg and 5 euros for an omelet- I thought this was a bit ridiculous - why couldn’t they alternate fried eggs one day with scrambled another. Nice hot breakfast tea though served in mugs so that was good. The beach was 6 mins walk away you cross over a one way road to access it which is Ok. Nice beach with loungers free for hotel users. Life guard on duty also. Beach cafe not far away but the coffee in nearly all cafes was mainly frothy milk with a bit of coffee at the bottom- not good and served luke warm. Espressos were a better option. 10 minutes walk into town of La Calletta who had a varied selection of restaurants and cafes. A bit run down, not a smart resort but I liked the fact it wasn’t over touristy. Couldn’t see any local buses running- hotel didn’t have any information on local happenings which would of been nice but most guests had a car. A market is held on Sunday in San Giovanni, next residential area other side of harbour, takes 35 minutes to walk it - mainly clothes and gifty items but worth a visit, a few cafes there and a few restaurants on that side of the harbour. A shout out to the small café Velo, situated to the back of the port area, look for the blue lights, nice coffee there.
Beds were on the very firm side but pleased they weren’t soft. The only issue we had with the hotel was that it holds weddings, presumably only out of season. From the Saturday afternoon to 1am! Breakfast was chaotic that morning as we were moved in to café area, and tea and coffee service went into melt down which was rather annoying. The wedding venue was catered in The large breakfast / restaurant area but music sound system with karaoke was set up outside the restaurant where it over looks the pool area. No problem with all of that, the problem was the high volume of music that started around 3pm and it didn’t stop nor was the volume lowered at 11.30 or worst 12.00 midnight - music disco stoped at 12 but the karaoke went on until 1am, which was very inconsiderate of the guests who were staying there, the music was not well managed by management to make it suit both sets of guests. We still had a good stay and liked the hotel but it was a disappointing experience and one to be aware of when booking out of season. I would ask if they have any weddings booked whilst you are there, to be sure.

What was the highlight of Hotel S'arena Beach
Beautiful and very clean, modern Hotel
The hotel is pretty new it seems. Everything, the buildings, the furnishings, ... is of high quality. Plus eveything was very clean. This made for a good experience. We enjoyed the breakfast menu, too. There were plenty of options and upon request, they provided gluten free options, too. The beach is great; the water was warm and beautiful, the sand was soft and almost white. The sunbeds provided by the Hotel were well positioned and also of goodquality.
There were just some minor grapes, nothing major. There is no shade on the parking spots. Also since everything is so new, the trees did not have time to grow as of yet, so the grounds can look a bit empty. The road croasing, when walking to the beach, was a bit awkward. We didn't eat at the restaurant, so we can't speak to that, but the one time we ate lunch at the bar was not very good; the food was bland and uninspired and over all too expensive.

Wonderful
The pool was perfect. Dinner in restaurant was nice.
Breakfast was terrible. Just bread and cheese and ham. And totally raw scramble. And if you want normal omelette, you should order for extra price.
